Subscribe to your favorite forums and topics . . .

Members only.

Members can subscribe to forums and topics they find interesting. Subscribers will get emails when a new posting is added to that particular forum or topic. You can choose to have notification sent Daily, Weekly or Immediately.

  • You can subscribe to an entire Forum or to an individual Topic.
  • You must be Logged in as a member to subscribe (or unsubscribe).
  • Photos for couples: If you have more than one photo in your member profile, the first will appear. (See Photo-add to member listing.)

Subscribing to a Forum

  1. Click Talk! on the menu bar.
  2. Click on the forum to which you wish to subscribe.

  3. Click Subscribe. If you change your mind, you can click again to Unsubscribe.subscribe.PNG

You can also subscribe to individual topics.

  1. Open the desired forum.
  2. Hover your cursor over the topic name to see the posting (in this case The Black Forest in Arden).hover.PNG
  3. Click on the topic name to open it.
  4. Click Subscribe.
  5. Now you will get email notification for the The Black Forest in Arden postings only.

Understanding email notifications

Once you have subscribed to a forum or topic, you will receive an email when another member posts a comment.

  • Emails are sent only when a member makes a posting on a forum or topic to which you are subscribed.

  • The default is Daily. That means once a day you will get an email listing the subscribed Forums / Topics that have had postings for that day.
  • Email notifications can be changed to Weekly or Immediately.

Changing email notifications

Email notifications can be changed for each forum or topic for which you have subscribed.

  1. Subscribe to the forum(s) and topic(s) that you find interesting (see above).
  2. Click View Profile at the upper left of the screen.Logout.png
  3. Click the Edit profile button.
  4. Click Subscriptions - at top of Profile page.
  5. Scroll down to see the forum(s) and/or topic(s) to which you have subscribed.daily weekly.PNG
  6. Timing of emails is as follows:
    • Daily: All subscriptions are batched in a single email once daily.
    • Immediately: Any posting results in email sent immediately.
    • Weekly: All subscriptions are batched in a single email sent once per week.
  7. Click Save to save your changes.
